You never have to go to the typical BUFFET, instead you ...Read more I have stayed at many 'all-inclusive' resorts, and I have to say that the food at the Grand Oasis Resort is so fabulous that it is not even in the same category at other all-inclusive resorts. You never have to go to the typical BUFFET, instead you can go to the other 17 restaurants that offer the most gourmet meals I've ever had! I also loved our rooms. We had 2 queen beds pushed together so 3 of us could easily sleep in the very large bed. The beds were SUPER SOFT! I have stayed in Mexican resorts where the beds are like sleeping on a board! We had a delightful balcony that directly faced the beach. Nothing between us and the ocean other than sand... Unknown to me, I had purchased a package that was VIP. We had black bands which gave us access to the VIP Lounge (which is great!). It has its own concierge that handled all our taxi/airline and other requests. You can also go in there any time of the day and enjoy quiet, elegant meals, drinks, or just to watch TV on a big screen (we were there during 2012 Summer Olympics which was fun to watch). VIP guests also didn't need reservations to most of the restaurants -- we could walk in any time and get seated. Our hotel room was also an upgrade. In the future I would always make sure that I have a VIP reservation! Things I was not happy with: 1. One of the reasons I booked this resort is because they had nightly entertainment. My experience at other all-inclusive resorts is that they actually had a theater that had seating -- and they offered wonderful entertainment (music, dancing, gorgeous costumes, etc). This resort has its entertainment in the Lobby. You stand around the railing and look down into a bunch of trees to watch the entertainment. They never change costumes, one of the features is done 3 nights a week (so once you have seen it you don't want to repeat it), and I found their entertainment actually quite boring. They have many fabulous entertainers that work there; they need to put on real stage productions and let these talented people do what they are good at! 2. I brought 3 teenagers, my daughter, and my daughter-in-law. I picked this resort because it had lots of pool activities -- which I thought my grandchildren would enjoy. They never participated in anything. One area seemed to be more for the 30's group -- with lots of drinking. Another area was for youngsters (5-12). We stayed at another resort in 2011 and my teenage grandsons played water volleyball everyday for hours and had so much fun! But this was not the case at this resort. Also there were supposed to be water exercise classes at certain times of the day, but whenever we tried to go to these they were non-existent. We never did figure out why. Close

Excellent Resort for young people. If you are looking for peace and quiet, go somewhere else. Beautifull hotel with a lot of activities, non stop entertainment, all day long.

If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and count the waves this place isnt for you, if you want upbeat rockin party book it now! Staff was amazing, food great, and some very amazing shows at the up and down bar.

The resort was wonderful. One of the best family vacations we have ever taken. So much to do just on the resort . Staff was very helpful. Housekeeping not so good but other than that great place to stay
