The resort was wonderful. One of the best family vacations we have ever taken. So much to do just on the resort . Staff was very helpful. Housekeeping not so good but other than that great place to stay

Unforgettable Vacation!

I had an amazing time at the Grand Oasis. I was a little afraid prior to the trip because of all the bad reviews I had read online but when I arrived there I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were always cleaning the hotel and everything was included with the package which was very helpful because all you needed was the black wristband and you had access to almost everything for free. The drinks are watered down and the whole water and food thing is over rated. They use bottled and purified water everywhere. I would stay there again! If you plan to go to Cancun and stay at The Grand Oasis have fun but beware and DO NOT stay at the other Oasis Hotels (they don't have access to all the rest. and amenities as the Grand one does!

HONEYMOON TRIP

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in July of 2007. overall, we had a great time. The restaurants, aside from the buffet, were all great tasting. There was one restaurant in particular located by the lobby of which you needed a reservation for and we did so a day in advance. Well worth it..Food 4 star and drinks flowing. All inclusive..We ate atleast 4 meals a day at this resort just because we could.. :) the pool was great, although a little crowded at times. There were some spring breakers in the pool and another gentleman along side the pool..long story short, big altercation of which involved about 10 drunk springbreaker guys almost jumping this one individual, all along side the pool. cheap entertainment I guess.. our first night, they had the towels shaped into swans with rose petals throughout the bed. they also greeted us at check in with a mixed drink.. We would stay again, although after reading some reviews, we may not.. I recommend the steak house as well..excellent.. one complaint, we would wake up each morning to the sound of the man cleaning the hallways.. aside from that..well worth it in our opinion. oh..PS..the room service food.....absolutely terrible!!

Loved It!! Will Stay Again

DO NOT let the bad reviews keep you from staying at the Grand Oasis! This place was all we expected and more. It was a beautiful resort, the staff was super friendly, and the food and drinks were above average. You have to eat at the Brazilion rest on site, it is the absolute best. If considering staying in one of the other Oasis resorts around the Grand, def go ahead and upgrade when you book, to the Grand. You are then entitled to all the restaurants and bars, and it is totally worth it. When going down town, or venturing out of the resort, take the bus. It 50 cents to a dollar a person. We did make the mistake of not exchanging any of our money, and I would def reccomend you do this. The exchange rate is different everywhere, so have exact change in Pesos, or take several ones and fives. You will not regret staying at this resort! It is the best you will find! We had a fabulous time, and will go again.

Mostly everything went well @the hotel but i had paid an upgrade to ocean view room that i did not get. After i check in went to the room and realizerd that it was not ocean view for which i came back dowstairs to the front desk and after i complained and ask to talk to the manager in charge the only thing that he could do for me was to put me in a so called priority waiting list which he said woud put me in the top of guest request for a ocean view room which i never got not even a phone call for ;what i did not undesrtand was how the hotel was @ a 15% capacity and yet they could not get me one room that i had requested and paid for .
