Good Option in Rio

Like any standar Marriott Hotels this has a spacious lobby and good quality service. Rooms are a bit small, but relativelly new. Location is exclente, overlooking the beah of Copabana. Good breakfast, good shower and enough television channels in english to choose from. Would just avoid using the concierge services that have charged me to confirm a flight. Other than that, I would def. stay there again!

Great location, friendly staff. Good value.

The location was excellent. Directly across from Copacabana beach. We walked the entire stretch of Copacabana and Ipanema from the hotel. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The staff at breakfast were exceedingly friendly. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have ever had. An abundance of fresh tropical fruit and real 100% tropical juices plus your usual made to order breakfast items. Our rate was considerably lower than rack thanks to our work, so our cost vs value was excellent. The concierge lounge was adequate for a typical JW International. The munchies were better than most. The room was typical JW Marriott quality. Very comforatble bed. The only negatives were that the roof top pool was small and the high cost for internet. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, especially for Rio's standards. Fantastic location - you're right in the middle of everything - the beaches, restaurants, and nightlife. A bit pricey though - unless you're in Rio during Carnival, you can find a better deal.

Excellent Hotel

Excellent Hotel

Modern, chic, and top notch service is what you can expect at The Marriott in Rio. Rooms are a good size but try and get a ocean view room as the atrium rooms look int the hotel. Amazing roof top pool and fitness centre along with a complete spa. Hotel is right on Copacabana Beach and for local market shopping check out the many shops one street behind the hotel. Also many full service beach front restaurants right at your door. The hotel has a great Sushi restaurant where you pay one price for all you can enjoy. The hotel is a bit pricey but if you want peace of mind, ultra comfort, and top notch amenities then it's worth the money.

Marriott Rio De Janeiro

Wonderful hotel and perfectly located right on Copacabana Beach. Hotel is very modern and what you would expect from a Marriott hotel in service levels, decor and amenities. Try and avoid the atrium rooms as they do not have an outside view but look onto the inner atrium of the hotel. Roof top pool with breath-taking views, complete spa and fitness centre with complimentary water. Hotel security is very good as they have several 24 hour guards. the hotel has a great Sushi restaurant where you pay $25USD for all you can enjoy. If you want peace of mind, superb comfort and top notch hotel amenities then this place is worth the money. Just behind the hotel there are many shops, cafes, restaurants, fruit markets and grocery stores were you can always buy water, drinks and snacks.
