Too much for the service and everything is overpriced, ive stayed at luxury hotels and this one just doesnt cut it, we showed up and had to wait 3 hours for our room to be ready and when we got it, it was dirty, the coffee cups had rings in them, it smelled weird and it TOTALLY WASNT THE TYPE OF ROOM THAT MELIAS WEBSITE SAID IT WOULD BE. it was very small, kind of like a la quinta inn room(thats a better deal) the one thing that saved it was it location. it just minutes from everything! that is the only reason that i would stay here again, but for cheaper right across the street is hotel fontain. another upside is that we got to share elevator with some famus people(national and international) but thats it.
What a great bed!

We stayed at HI Express in Morelia because we were flying out at 5:30 Am the next morning and wanted to get within 30 minutes of the airport. ( The hotel is actually 20 minutes and 250 pesos by friendly taxi.) The hotel combines what I love about American hotels with a touch of Mexican style. What I love; Well spaced apart rooms, king size beds with soft pillows and clean sheets, hot water 24/7 and good towels.
The front desk service was not so hot, our recommendation on the time to take the taxi to the airport was off, we could not get a non-smoking room, it took them forever to answer the phone and our wake up call did not come.
The hotel is down the street from another Holiday Inn, and across the street from Plaza Americana. it took about 20 minutes to get to Morelia central by taxi.

We were pleasantly surprised by this chain hotel in that it has unique and charming features, including a piano lounge and poolside drink/snack service. It is a great hotel for either a weeknight or weekend stay. We also enjoyed both room service, which was prompt and delicious, and their restaurant located on the main floor. There was a wonderfully helpful doorman who helped us plan some sightseeing, too.
