VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH COSTA DE ORO

our stay here was horrible. The smoke alarm was was going off due to a dying battery at 330am for two hours. it woke us up and they wouldnt move us til 5am. The next night, same thing happend. The Manager was rude and not even offer a simple apology. His reply, "these things happen and theres nothing i can do".

I own a condo here, but didn't use it for a recent visit. I stayed in the hotel complex. Big difference in quality. The beds are very hard, no fitted sheets, and the showers are inconsistent in temp and pressure. No hair dryers or coffee makers. The service was very good and the staff friendly.

I traveled here with my sister and friend, all of us are females under 25 who were looking for a relaxing spring break by the beach. We felt extremely safe at this hotel and it is absolutely beautiful!! The staff goes out of their way to make conversation, serve you and are all so smiley and friendly. They treat you like royalty here! The restaurant at the hotel is delicious, cheap and an ocean view which can't be beat. The pool area is breathtaking. You will love this hotel, I would highly recommend it! It has the authentic Mexican feeling to it, but it's nice, safe and perfect location.

I had never been to Mexico and was not expecting a whole lot. Mazatlan was Heaven and staying at Costa De Oro was like staying in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. The rooms were very clean and the pool and beach were perfect for us. We are bringing the kids with next time. Were we even able to swim in December and enjoyed amazing sunsets. Highly recommend if you are not a hotel snob and can embrace the mexican experience. I requested a foam topper the first night and they were all out, the bed was Mexico firm. I slept so well that I am going to get an extra firm for at home.
