El Rancho Villas, Hotel, and Beach Resort is a rather small resort, but very interesting and with some details that the BIG ONES do not offer because they are not able to do it. They offer exclusivesness, privacy, tranquility, personal attention, and some other benefits of a resort of this size. As soon as you visit it, you will agree that it is a different concept.

It is the ONLY 100% MEXICAN-STYLE resort in Mazatlan, and I am sure you and your party will love it.

Because of its location and its size, it is ideal for families, for seniors, and for honeymooners, and since this hotel does not accept spring-breakers, your tranquility is assured. If you add to this the fact that the staff is very friendly and helpful, all you have to do is lay down, relax, and enjoy.

The hotel has only 28 units with two bedrooms (one with a king-size bed and the other with two queen-size ones, two bathrooms, a living/dining area, and a completely furnished kitchen. Maximum occupancy is six persons.

After taking a look at the rates, you might think that they are a bit higher than some of the hotels in Mazatlan. Just keep in mind the fact that up to six persons can sleep in esch villa. It is located RIGHT ON THE BEACH, meaning that all you have to do is walk no more than 20 feet to get the sand among your toes (beachfront units), and each villa has two storeys, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, living and dinning area, and satellite TV. But if you're planning a two-person vacation, there are some very attractive specials according to the current season.

In my opinion, this is one of the most recommendable hotels in Mazatlan.

Best Things Nearby:
The old malarcon was my favorite area. It is the busiest, and is right on the beach. There are several restaurants and a few night clubs.

Best Things About the Resort:
The landscaping was beautifully manicured. The timeshare is not in the main busy hotel zone. It is in a more private area. The units are very large. Our unit had the view of the beach. Some units have a view of the pool and the gardens. The timeshare is right on the beach.

Resort Experience:
The two bedroom unit we stayed in had the view of the beach through the back door. The floors were ceramic tiled. The furniture and decorations were Mexican style. The unit was very large with two good size bedrooms. In one bedroom, it was like a loft, where you can see downstairs into the living room, yet private enough to where they couldn't see you. The other bedroom had two double beds in it with an armoire. Both bedrooms had two big closets. There was one full bathroom downstairs and a full bathroom upstairs in between both bedrooms.

The kitchen had full sized appliances with all the kitchen accessories. They give you a large bottled water. The living room has high ceilings with windows from floor to ceiling. Our unit overlooked the beach.

It has one outside bar that is built of palapas. It has a small restaurant that overlooks the beach also. The food is good and homemade by a little old lady there. There weren't any resort activities going on or near in that beach area. There is a standard pool and a jacuzzi. The landscaping is nice inside the resort area also.
