5 star hotel for 3 star price

From registration to departure the service was excelent, everybody was friendly. It is obvious that managers are well trained and curteous. At the restaurants the service is excellent, food is delicious and your waiter goes out of his way to please you. The rooms are large with sitting area, computer access and we had an ocean view. There is a golf course in the premises and two additional ones about 20 minutes away designed by Nicklaus and Weiscoff with beautiful views of the mountains. There are excellent restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. The only bad experience we had was the timeshare salesmen at the airport, they are relentless and get ugly if you do not want to talk to them.

Paid Vacation

My employer sent the top performers here and it was fantastic. The pool and beach front were my favorite parts. The food wasn't anything special. The distance to Puerto Vallarta wasn't great but if all you want to do is relax and enjoy the ocean and pool then the location is fine. We saw some truly gorgeous sunsets from the hotel. Many other hotels offer kayaks or similar but Casa Magna didn't. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would go back again.

Nice family Hotel

We went on our first "airplane" family vacation, and first trip to Mexico and we had a great time. The resort is very well located to the Marina area, the airport, and then old town/down town. We felt that the hotel employees were very nice, helpful, and the food was pretty good. I highly recommend the fish tacos and shrimp wrap at the pool. Nice variety of adult food and big kids menu, with the traditional kids food. This was one thing I was questioning, which was ...how will I find food my kids will eat. They do a really really nice job catering to family's and kids. But it still felt like a nice, adult, luxery resort. I thought the out front bell hops were really very good and helpful. They tend to have their employees with the best English out front, so they can help them get to where they need to go, and to help communicate with the cab drivers. We had a room on the side of the hotel where the sunset (the west) on the 9th floor and it was spectacular! SPECTACULAR!. The room was fine, clean, had two full beds. I would have liked two queens, but I liked the top floor ocean view, so it was a trade off. The beach was very nice too. REally a good location if you are going to PV. I would recommend the hotel. We would go back!

Best Hotel in Puerto Vallarta!!!!

I selected the Marriott CasaMagna because it is a name that I trust. Never having been to Puerto Vallarta, I was hesistant about choosing a brand of hotel that I was not familiar with. I am so happy that I chose the Marriott! The location is perfect- about a 10 minute ride to downtown. The grounds of the hotel are impressive and the staff is very friendly. We ate in each of the 5 restaurants and were pleased with all of them. Nice variety of foods to choose from and we liked the fact that is was not buffet food like many other hotels offer. The guest suites are very clean and comfortable. We slept in the most comfortable bed of any hotel we have ever stayed in. The housekeeper cleans the room twice daily and even leaves chocolates on the bed at night! We traveled on an off-week and found that we had the hotel almost to ourselves. It worked out well for us because there was never a wait for anything and there was always a premium spot at the pool and beach. The Marriott CasaMagna is definitely a first class hotel. I look forward to returning next year and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Puerto Vallarta.

Nice property

Oct humid and hot, would return later in the year. A/C inconsistent and loud. Room was very clean and property well maintained, pool was very relaxing and prices reasonable compared to European prices. Taking printed confirmation good advise, I was charged twice for the stay, even though I had prepaid pkg, issue still not resolved for refund. This minor problem did not take away from the relaxing stay. As I mentioned, months of Jun-Oct is very humid and hot which kept us away from physical activities. It is reflected in their pricing. Marina area has much to offer, instead of going to town. Stay with local cuisine and save your money for fine dinning for home. Taxi reasonable, we were not bothered by timeshare sales people at this property at all. Had dinner at La Palapa Restaurant one night, heavy rain caused sewage to over flow and smell was not pleasant. Very pricey for added flagrance.
