I booked the Ambiance based on what other travelers had said. I booked through online travel website; they had the best rates and availability. We vacationed during Xmas week (winter in Mexico too); which was one of the busiest vacation time in Cancun. Temperature was in the 80s with daily thunder showers never lasting more than 15 minutes, nor more than once a day. The Ambiance Villas was exactly what I had hoped for, clean rooms, friendly staff (almost everyone spoke English), A/C worked great, free wireless Internet at the lobby area, a view of the beach and swimming pool from my balcony, breakfast was included in the price; and it was served between 7 and 11am. Breakfast is buffet style and a chef will make your breakfast to order. The waiting is much shorter if you breakfast early when there is less people. The beach is surrounded with white powder sand and turquoise blue water. The Villas has plenty of beach chairs to go around. Waiters will take your order of food and drink on the beach. Lunch at the beach restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend arranging some of your tours through the tour agency at the hotel. X was an ex-tour guide with invaluable suggestions and money saving tips. The Villas is located within walking distance of other hotels, restaurants, and night clubs. I would recommend taking city buses, which cost 6.5 peso (approx. 50 cents) each way and runs every 15 minutes 24/7. The bus stops are located outside the Villa. Security in the hotel and Cancun was excellent. Toilets don't flush well as someone said (also true everywhere else). Laundry machines at the Villas, but only ONE washer/dryer for everyone to use.

The Ambiance was more than what we expected. The villa we got was absolutely great. The beach was to die for with its white baby powder sand and blue waters. The people were wonderful. Shopping was very easy to get to. The only thing I can say to the contrary is that the toliet did not flush correctly all the time. You had to flush it 2 or 3 times at certain times of the day otherwise it was not a distraction. The food was very good, prices not at all bad, there was people there to help you with siteseeing tours. We would of liked to have music on the beach at night and maybe some kind of nightlife on the beach at night but there were plenty of places to go nearby for entertainment. We would go back to this hotel in an Oklahoman minute.

The hotel was alot more then we expected, They were very clean and very cool we never got hot in the rooms. The pool area is also very clean, and the staff was GREAT We have no complaints on this hotel that reminded me of a condo. I felt really comfortable to know there was security I never worried about my daughters at night when they were in the pool or even on the beach. the personal was very professional and very courteous. I can't wait to go back to Cancun. I would stay here again and again. I recommend it to whoever goes to cancun. The Borunda Family

I like this hotel very much. It is located in the right area. It is very private. The hotel itself is very clean and beautiful. Jessica at the front desk is alway so helpful and professional. I visit Cancun every other month and always stay here.

Beautiful on the hotel zone of Cancun. I would go back again. There was a small problem with the bed but as soon as I called to the front desk to inquire about it, the problem was fixed. The breakfast buffet was really good. The pool was really clean and nice. The beach area was clean, not rocky, the water is beautiful, crystal blue water, white sand. great for kids and family. Nice view overlooking the caribbean and Isla Mujeres.
This hotel is a block away from the popular shopping center Plaza Caracol, there is also a small supermarket across the street to the right hand....The price is worth it.
