Avoid this Hotel

See for yourself. The manager on duty was first, unaware of the promotion and had to be shown and second, he said that after moving heaven and earth, he might be able to give the same price as listed on online travel website instead of the full-super-high price but under no curcumstances could he honor the 25% discount. The thing is that they have a super-high price so that they can offer a promotion. (Do they really think we are dumb?) It is part of a large chain that uses a central reservation center like Marriott but nowhere near as good. They dont answer the phone, do the pickup-hangup to get rid of callers, or leave you on hold for 25 min until the system times out and hangs up on you. They don?t want your business. The hotel overall quality is average or below but you?ll be asked to pay $200USD if you?re not careful. You?ll also be charged for every little thing. It?s tiring to stay in a place where everyone has their hand out. Location isn?t bad but it?s not close to the business district of Reforma or entertainment so you?ll need to take a taxi. Most of the "business center" doesn?t work, charge for very poor quality internet, room was reasonably clean but has bad sewer odor.
Also, while there, another guest was complaining of things that disappeared from their room. I don?t know many details but managements observed response was unprofessional, unsympathetic, indifferent and unhelpful. Watch your wallet if you decide to stay
