the rooms were mediocre, the food mediocre, the staff very nice & friendly beach was right there
everything was clean, could update rooms paint & linens
shows every night were entertaining, nice winter getaway for the money
a hotel that was partially erected and never completed due to natural disaster is somewhat of an eyesore and obstructs the ocean view
Friendly wait staff

The buffet style dining room had very friendly and helpful wait staff. The food was good-there was always plenty of fresh fruit. Our criticism was the instant coffee, but if you want fresh brewed there are three cafes and a convinence store within two blocks of the hotel.
The beds are not comfortable-not any different then any other place we have stayed.
THis would be a great place to bring kids-especially tween/teenagers-there are activities and they can go eat without having to wait for the grownups.
The bus stop is close-about a half block down.

Good Winter Getaway for Great Price

My boyfriend and I decided to go to Mexico for a winter getaway (living in PA, cold weather gets pretty old). We weren't looking to spend a ton of money on a hotel as we really just wanted a beach and warm weather. Costa Club was exactly what we were looking for - it didn't break the bank and we had a great time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are okay but not great. Our shower had some draining issues and the room was a little bare but we really just needed a place to sleep. Puerto Vallarta was a wonderful city and I never thought twice about walking anywhere in the area. For the hotel, the pool and beach areas were nice, decent food and good drinks. The concierge was very helpful and we ended up booking two day trips for a very decent price. The only thing that really took us by surprise was the huge abandoned building behind the hotel. It was quite an eyesore and we weren't able to look out to the beach because of this massive building. Overall though, we weren't looking for anything super fancy and for the price, it was a perfect place. Would definitely return again in the future.

We arrived hot and tired but were greeted with smiles etc- Had to listen to the Time Share banter but was pre-warned by Taxi Co so escaped.. Room was fine- not 5 Star but we did not pay 5 Star prices- shower ran either very hot or very cold- whoever got it running ok left it for the next person- had an issue woth no towels-which was rectified- remote not working but frankly who cares- went to enjoy sun, sights and sounds of area- and of course beach- The hotel was just fine- breakfast buffet was ok- though we did not pay all inclusive- and we dined at poolside restaurant in evenings which was very good- nice food and staff-seemed like a great place to take kids too- lots of them about and beach right there so no walking- no complaints from us- would stay there again-- Perfect for budget conscious-
