Great Property and Comfortable Rooms

Property is absolutely fantastic, rooms are really comfortable, beds are amazing.
Buffet breakfast is delicious.
Hotel also has a nice garden and a large swimming pool.
I really enjoyed my stay!

OK Hotel Bad Location.

The Marriott hotel is a bit out of the way from the centre of the city but the hotel is nice enough. It overlooks a highway so don't expect much in terms of view.

I found the staff to be a bit lazy. Hotel operator never answered the phone many times I called down, housekeeping was also very slow to respond.

The hotel does have a very nice outdoor pool but it's frequented by stray cats. The fitness room is a complete joke. No air conditioning, very old machines, no free weights. One of the worst I've ever seen. I would have expected better from a Marriott hotel and considering they say on their website it's be renovated. When I asked the front desk about it they said the owner decided it was too expensive.

The main restaurant Citrus serves Mediterranean cuisine they have a good breakfast but dinner not so good.

There are some cafes around the corner from the hotel which is good for lunch or dinner. You can also buy some drinks and snacks to take away.

You can walk to the nearest subway station and take public transport to downtown which is about 10-15 minutes away. On the way to the station you pass The Zoo. It's very charming but not many animals to see. So I wouldn't bother unless you have nothing else to do.

All in all I would rate the hotel 3 star by North American standards.

We were booked here for 3 nights. Took advantage of offer for superior room which included breakfast and drinks/snacks in the evening. Everything went fine. Hotel staff were eager to meet all of our expectations. Were only sorry that we did not have more days booked. A problem for some would be that it is not very near to the metro stations. This did not affect us, but realize this could be a problem for some. Taxi service is readily available & the cost was reported to us as being very reasonable. Fine hotel. Felt we really got our money's worth.
