Some good, a lot bad

Room is nice as well as staff. Food is so-so. The worst thing is the way they hound you for the time share presentation--you see tons of the sales people in the lobby looking like bad used car salesmen, waiting to pounce on their prey. The lobby is not air conditioned and the nightly entertainment is there and it is too hot to attend in comfort, plus the actual entertainment leaves a lot to be desired. For the money there are a lot better choices. We liked the Barcelo much better.

Best trip ever

My husband and I went there for our honeymoon a year ago. We're about to go back for our 1 year with some friends. The food is incredible and never had any problems getting a table at either the "reservations only" resturant or at the one by the beach. The grounds are amazing and it was so cool to see live peacocks, igunas, and little kittens roaming around to great you. The all-inclusive is the way to go. The pools are kept up beautifully and are far enough apart that it's a completly different atmosphere at each one. The rooms are awsome!! It had by far the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in. We may be about to go there again in a month, but it will NOT be our last time there.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and we continue to be very impressed with the professional services and friendliness of the staff.

we toured the Velas Vallaerta and must say we were very impressed. Adriana was assigned to us and she was a doll. No pressure , very informative and pleasant. We loved the grounds, the pool areas and the rooms. After our tour, we went upstairs and sat down. We were considering purchasing a timeshare because we were truly impressed by what we saw and knew that this would suit us perfectly. Then the salesperson- joined us. He sat down and said " well there are two types of people that come to these presentations, some are interested and some are just here for a scam , I don't think you are here to buy, there is no sale here". He began to accuse us of being in some scam, told my husband to put down the timeshare magazine since he was talking. He continued to insult us, at which time, my husband started to tell him how unprofessional he was and because of his attitude he just lost a sale. He was very rude, confrontational, and arrogant. We have never been treated this way, and complained to the managers and are following up with complaints to the timeshare organization. So beware of this arrogant rude salesperson, its too bad he represents this wonderful hotel

For a quick getaway we were looking for something in PV. We have stayed at 5 star hotels here and loved them Decided to chance it with Velas Vallarta and were anything but disappointed. The facility, staff and food were phenominal and we are already planning our return trip.
