We are a mid-30s couple, no kids. We like to have fun; we are not the romantic type. To us this hotel was perfect, lots of music, lots of people, 3 swimming pools, crowded beach, bars all around, Carlos & Charlie?s across the street, Starbucks downstairs, bangie jumping a few steps down, dozens of restaurants all around. We walked everywhere. Absolutely no need for a car in Acapulco. Taxis are really cheap, and the only times we needed one was from/to the airport ($ 10) and to see the divers at ?La Quebrada? ($ 8 and the driver waited for us). The restaurants at the hotel are good, but there is so much more to do around that we only eat there a couple of times. Serving sizes are much smaller in Acapulco, but still more than enough. We were quite surprised by the prices of drinks everywhere. Coronas were more expensive than in America and Margaritas were $8. All rooms have sea-view. The SPA is great and the prices truly good! Had some of the best massages there. There are also ladies offering massages at the beach and they are really good! You have to pay extra ($10/day) to use the gym and steam room, but if you have a treatment you can use the facilities. At the beach, be aware of people trying to sell you everything. You can ask the hotel security to keep them away from your gazebo, or just say ?no gracias? 100 times a day. We would definitely go back to this hotel anytime. I walked miles paying attention to other hotels and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. If you are after a romantic time, you might want to look into more remote hotels (there are many!)

NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!

45 Minute check in with one front desk clerk. Requested king bed away from the elevator. Got double bed next to the elevator. Loudest hotel I have ever stayed at. One side from the street traffic the other from the club noise. I had to keep the sliding door to the balcony closed at all times. They advertise private pool for adults, that doesn't exist. Traveler beware this hotel is like an old diva trying to hold on to it's glory days. Never again...

First, The hotel wants you to wear a plastic wrist band for the entire stay to identify you as a guest of the hotel. Second, I rented the largest suite they have and they would not allow two friends to come up for drinks prior to going to dinner, because they were not guest of the hotel. Third, the breakfast buffet was over $* a person and they did not have toast, sausage or bacon. Fourth, they offer money exchange for your safety as long as it is no $* or more. Fifth, My room was on the Seventh floor and the club was very loud next door until 4:00 am in the morning. Sixth, The bill included charges for a donation to a charity and maid tips, I prefer to tip based on service. Seven, when these issues were pointed out to the staff they did not care.

Good YTB rates!

Good food. Dirty pool chairs and deck and garbage in water. Excellent maid service. Enjoyed the remodeled pool. Nightly, loud, disturbing music at night from discos.

Great Accomodations

I was very satisfied with the hotel with the open air lobby, the new plush rooms and the courteous service. Outstanding all around hotel for the price.
