Great deal but cold showers!

Stayed at the Normandie several times in the recent past while other nearby hotels were sold out. Each time in a different room and the showers have been luke warm or just plain cold unless you shower after 5pm. Forget shaving in there! Otherwise, the customer service is very good. The staff is polite and accomodating. They always worked to resolve any small problems quickly and with a smile. The location is fantastic for Old San Juan and Condado. The N Lounge is one of the coolest bars; hope they can draw more crowds in the future, it could be really fun.

Lipstick on a Pig

Hotel was just OK. It's well-dressed but a little run-down. Room OK but carpet needs replaced. Cocktails ridiculously overpriced. Food not worth it, once my chicken was undercooked and the service is excruciatingly slow. Called the desk to see what time the Lounge opened, it was closed for the rest of the night when I got there. Best thing was the Spa, I had a great massage and facial.

Not a Business Hotel!

It was advertised as a business hotel. Had large rooms/poor views and loud Parties 2 nights in a row until 1:00 am. No one could sleep. The walls vibrated with the noise. I got 2.5 hours sleep before an important meeting. Never again!!!

Terrible experience

"Housekeeping never got to our room on the first day. I called front desk in the late afternoon requesting that our room be cleaned, they confirmed that it will be but it never was. The hotel in general is not well taken care of. The carpets were dirty. I realize that our experience could have been an exception but I will not stay at the Normandie again. "

The Best in PR at a Great Price

I'm from the west coast of the island and I visit hotels in San Juan often. Since we arrived the staff worked 24/7 to enssure that our stay was a very pleasant experience (I needed a sewing kit at 10pm, an extra bed at 12am, and both were delivered promptly ). The food was ok but the mushroom soup was to die for. The facilities were beautiful and everything was clean and neat. I went to the N Lounge both nights and had a lot of fun. I recommend this hotel over all the others I have visited if you are looking for a great hotel at an affordable price.
