Noise

The room was very comfortable and had very good amenities. However, there was a connecting door to the next room and you might as well have been there as in your own room. The conversations in the next room were quite clear and you could not go to sleep until the neighbors settled down as well. The atrium style hotel also was not conducive to sleep as the elevators and their dinging and the banquet rooms and their revelers all contributed to the outside noise that rose in the atrium to the room. It was nice to receive a paper at the door each morning. However, I always received the Spanish version and I don't speak or read Spanish very well. The English version was always out when I approached the desk for a trade. The breakfast choices were very poor and the dinner menu was very limited. The staff made a great effort to be helpful and accomodating. It was comforting to see security roaming around (looking like CIA and FBI). They were also very helpful and very nice when approached. Can't beat the location.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Great staff, terrific food (slow out of the kitchen but worth the wait), beautiful views, good room. Housekeeping a tad iffy -- forgot bath mats a couple of times, forgot clean glasses one day -- staff otherwise so friendly, helpful. Loved it!

We stayed for a week and were unable to fall asleep six out of seven nights until after midnight because of loud, parties. Don't stay here if you like to sleep.

Needs Fixing

The staff was great. The room needs updating. Hot Water faucet was loose, AC fan was noisy, Floors were uneven and a tripping hazard. Flushing commode was so loud it must have awakened guests in adjacent rooms. Hotel location is not within walking distance of the old town unless you are a marathon walker. After paying in advance, I was charged $18/day hidden tarriff on checkout. I would not go back.
