Great Location

We took two rooms last minute ..got a reasonable rate of $ Euro per standard room. No breakfast at this rate.asked for a courtesy breakfast but no way!! Not even a continental but was told I could charge the breakfast 27 EURO to my room!!!
Check in was fast and friendly..Received , as requested , an inner room without the traffic noises . Clean and spacious with a large bathroom. Toiletries were adequate ..basics only. Asked for a kettle to make tea , none available..asked for someone to help me figure out why the lights were not working ...nobody came for an hour...eventually figured it out myself! No turn down service ..unusual in a five star hotel.
Very friendly staff ..loved the open fires in the public rooms...lovely inner lounge restaurant. Checked out the 27 Euro breakfast buffet but was not particularly impressed with the pre-cooked foods.
Great location for everything. Liked the quiet and lack of bustle .even though there was a good bar scene going on downstairs on Saturday night. Would stay again.
