I booked this hotel for my a nice vacation for my mothers birthday and mothers day gift. I thought it would be a nice relaxing vacation. Boy was i wrong. After traveling all day we stood in line at check out for 1.5 hrs. The man at the front desk did not explain how we had to go to guest services to schedule our meals. When we did go the next morning it took us an hour to do so and the lady was extrememly rude. All inclusive means where ever you want to eat. WRONG. We only were allowed to schedule 2 ala carts for 4 nights. The one was worse than the buffet we had to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at 3 days. The ones we wanted were told were full but they werent when we walked passed. We did get one good meal but the waiter was rude. He took our order and never came back again. We found that being americans we got the cold shoulder after spending good money to be there. Almost everyone was rude to us except the bus boys and maids. We would get waited on last or not at all when we went to the bars at the beach, pools, or resort. Also there was really nothing to do in the evening at the resort. When we tried to shop we got pounced on by the vendors to see their stuff outside of every shop. I have never felt so mistreated in my life even though i spent good money to be there. Resort and beach were beautiful and clean i just wish the rest of my experience would have been.

I just went on my honeymoon there, place was beautiful. I would recommend this place to every one. The gift shops are a little pricey but what do you expect your at a resort. They take Dollars and Dominican Pesos too. The staff was really nice. Very impressive the majority of the people speak like 5 languages. And for the people who are writing reviews that they were upset that some people don’t speak English, well hello what do you expect your in a Latin Country they shouldn’t adjust to your needs its like going to China and expecting people to know English. Any who the place was great buffet was good place was clean. Cant wait to go back!!!

Bavaro Beach at Punta Cana is a real gem of the Caribbean. This Gran Bahia Principe complex is huge. The food was very good. The rooms were fairly nice but had some maintenance issues. The A/C does not operate unless the balcony door is completely shut and the sensors are relatively close. We had to constantly fiddle with our sensor to get the A/C to kick on. Some family members had a leaking toilet in their room. My biggest complaint is the check-in policy. Hotel says check-in is 3:00 p.m.; however, our rooms were not completed till after 6:00 p.m.

Great Relaxing Family Vacation, Friendly Staff

This was a huge facility but there is a tram system that runs very frequently to catch a ride from one end of the complex to the other. We stayed down near the beach and I would definitely recommend it. The fish restaurant was convenient and open for breakfast and lunch and a nice break from the heat. The Casino and Work out facility was a bit disappointing. The casino was a single room and the workout room was old equipment in need of updating. There was an over abundance of beach chairs. If you want something under shade you probably need to get to the beach by around 9am. The staff was friendly and helpful in all areas of the resort. It definitely helped to tip the housekeeping a couple of dollars a day to keep things well stocked. The market place at the resort has a variety of vendors that all sell the same stuff so don't be afraid to drive a lower price. In many cases we drove a price 20% of the starting price. Have fun...it is a beautiful facility. Our family of 5 with ages 18, 21, and 23 really enjoyed the time.

I booked this trip 4 a romantic getaway. I was memorized by the pictures, reviews, great deal & was like WOW this is going to be a great vacation WELL SURPRISE IT REALLY WASNT , Made the best of it..The staff ..rarely spoke english! To me on a vacation speaking english & dealing with all kinds of cultures & people is key to understand what they need, want etc cause thats what you pay for! The buffet is the same thing & isnt great food. Seen water bugs in the lobby several times.Steak place seen a roach by the salad area & in the big buffet area by the lobby & it turned my stomach & YEs at the same time was speechless being on this resort for 5 days & this happened the 1st night. Thats a turn off nor the less u see water bugs here & there by the room & lobby. Pool was great & awesome along with the beach. Be ready 2 see topless people especially little kids. Italian place was excellent food & selection. They dont have iron & ironing board in room, u have 2 call them & u have 2 hr limit.. They water there drinks down & u have 2 keep asking to put more liquor.. Plus u have to pay for top notch liquor which isnt included. Make sure you bring alot of singles!! Also they dont tell you which is included when u book with them the non water sports.. plus for a class they charge you!! took cab to and from the airport & they charge 38.00. Also they drive in the other lane, cut people off & its CRAZY & SCARY.. if any questions please feel free to e mail me Godivaria126@hotmail.com (STATEN ISLAND, NY)
