Great Value

We enjoyed our stay at this motel very much. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed with amenities such as a microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, iron and hairdryer. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Clean bed linens and towels were available daily if desired, but eco-friendly customers can opt to have these changed less frequently. Breakfast in the restaurant was included in the price of the room. It was delicious and more substantial than free breakfast at many other motels. There were some minor maintenance issues with the room such as a slow moving drain and a bit of peeling paint in the bathroom, but overall we received good value for the price.

Dirty and disappointed

I would not stay at this hotel again. The bathrooms are dirty with stained wash cloths. The equiptment is poorly maintained. The hot tub was luke warm, when I told the front desk the only response was 'we've been having problems with it', no apoligies whatsoever. Went to the dining room the tables were either dirty or tippy. I had high expectations for this hotel with it being a Shilo Inn, but was highly disappointed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for three nights. We checked in very late the first night. After switching rooms to get a courtyard view that we had paid for, we discovered mold all over our bathroom. Wanting sleep more than anything else at that moment, we stayed in the room. The next day we were promised housekeeping would clean our bathroom. When we returned to the room at 9pm we smelled bleach, but the mold was still visible everywhere. The next day, we spoke to staff again. This time we were promised the head of housekeeping would check it and clean it herself. RIIIIIIGHT.....not even the smell of bleach this time, just mold. We were able to wipe it off with a wet washcloth. Apparently that is a new/high tech cleaning method that hasn't made into their corporate cleaning training. Upon check out we were told the GM was not available, but he would definately be calling me the following day to discuss my concerns. Again, riiiiiight, I am writing this at 9pm on that day with no phone call from anyone. Please do not be fooled by three stars and a low fare, spend the extra $10 or $20 a night and have a clean room that looks like it was decorated within the last 20 years (don't even get me started on the decor) !!!!!!

We were here 3 nights. Large rooms. You get free breakfast in their restaurant. THE BEST food! Lots of "potty places" for our 2 little dogs, and the kids loved the hot tub. Close to Zoo, Forestry Center. Check out Powell's bookstore in Beaverton! We'll stay here again.
