Heart Runaway Bay

The staff were very nice, honest and hospitable. The food was good and cheap. The grounds were nice. The facility is another story. The first night we got there our bathtub would not drain, the toilet was going down slowly. In the morning we requested maintenance to look at it. He xcame to our room and plunged the toilet, which did nothing, and fooled aroung with the lever in the bathtub. Then he asked for a tip. The whole trip we had those problems. We were plagued by lizards and roaches in the room. The icing on the cake was one day at lunch, the waitress poured me some water and there was a roach leg in it(disgusting). We never ate there for the duration of our trip and left to spend a couple of days with friends in Kingston, returning the night before we had to leave. Now i understand thatthis hotel is government owned and there explains the reason it is in the shape it is.

I will be back!

the hotel was nice and cheap...there wasn't any entertainment on site but that's what makes all the local clubs even better.....if you're looking to save money pick this hotel....the rooms were clean and the service was great.....the food at the hotel was expensive and very blend but there are many local vendors about 10 mins from the hotel where the prices were great and the food was even better.....i will be returning to this hotel...maybe...in sept of 2007....in just 2 months...i can't wait....

This hotel tries hard, but misses on almost all counts! Food fair to good, staff mediocre, NOISY (i.e. no sleep), nothing to do, bar closes at 10 pm, no shade at pool, too far from beach of nightlife.

If you are looking for a very peaceful, hospitable, and scenic getaway, this is the place. Elevated on a hill and surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens, the hotel offers a wonderful view of the sea below. The staff is very hospitable and pleasant. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
