Never staying here again!

Hotel was dirty and outdated. Requested fridge and micro, but these weren't brought to room until after checkin. Then we had to plug fridge in and wait for it to cool off. No hot water for over an hour. Vending machines were taking money, and staff was unapologetic. Advertised as nonsmoking resort, but people were smoking everywhere! Grounds were filthy. Limited parking in front of rooms. I cannot say enough bad things about this hotel.
Horrible Stay

Stayed for three nights, room was small. Could hear the occupants from room above walk around which kept us up at night. There is no beach access. You have to climb over a wall of boulders to get to beach. Food at the restaurant was horrible. I do not recommend to anyone. Management did not seem to care about our complaints.

I arrived at 6:30pm (check in started at 4:00pm) but after standing in line for 45 minutes, was told that my room would not be ready until 9:00pm because they were "busy." No apology from the supervisor. The rooms were horrible. Mildew on walls, curtains, furniture; large holes in the walls and doors, peeling laminate counters, bare light bulbs. I was there for a conference, and the other attendees had the same complaints. Almost slept in my car, but the smell of garbage was so strong outside from overflowing garbage bins that it made me sick. The health department should shut it down.

Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The hotel created a nice atmosphere for us as well as access to the beach. The staff members were very helpful and the fitness room was definitely a plus. The cable service provided could have been better considering that we were unable to hook up our play station in order to play games or view movies. Wireless internet service was unavailable in the room but could be accessed in the hotel lobbey. Anyone that chooses to bring their children along should request to be on the 1st floor!

An old friend and I met (after about 17 yrs) J.I. was "halfway" point, she lives in SC, I live in Fl. We both needed a vacation from kids and husbands. After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical but the hotel was great, our room smelled a little musty but nothing a cool A/C and a can of air freshener couldn't handle. Our room was big and the decor was nice the grounds were beautiful and the beach was too. But they do need to clean up on the beach, We loved our weekend and we will get together again in the Spring. Thanks to all!!!
