Not Kidding - HORRIBLE

Horrible place. Worst hotel I've ever been in. To start, its located in a ghetto area of town (Norfolk = ghetto in general, but ocean view = HORRIBLE). No pool, the caretakers are a bit nasty, and when we first came up to the room the outside smelled like beer and urine. We bought online, paid for a larger room with two queen size beds, and when we got here the room was small, and both beds were full (with queen size blankets though, mind you -- I guess that qualifies?). The cops sit outside in the parking lot from 3:30-6:30, pulling everyone who makes an unnecessarily placed illegal right turn (God forbid the 3-4 pulling people over actually stop some crime happening right down the street). ANYWAYS, so the nastiest part I guess of this review would be a few minutes after we got unloaded in the room, we were relaxing and we were shocked to fin dthat there were bloodstains on our sheets (EW!). So a note to anybody staying here: apparently they do not change their sheets after a guest leaves. My Mom made a joke that perhaps we should have brought our black light to see how REALLY clean the sheets were. The owners barely speak English, which is no big deal, but some may not prefer that.
Anyways, the one good thing I found is that it is right across the street from the pier, and when we called and explained the bloodstain issue, they promptly brought us two new sheets. I will keep in mind next time Im forced to visit this place to avoid any hotel remotely near ocean view rd.

Although it only cost $* for a room, I would not ever waste the money again. The rooms were filthy, urine and hair on the toilet, hair in the bed. I slept with my clothes on and a towel over the pillow.

This motel was not bad--though it is a half-hour from Virginia Beach, it is just across the road from a much smaller, far less crowded public beach. The room was mostly clean, though there was some sand stuck in the corners and the toilet seemed to be dying. The bed was okay, and there were a lot of channels on the tv. There was supposed to be a continental breakfast, but this consisted of stale donuts, sad looking white bread, and weak coffee. There were no vending machines with snacks, though there were some with sodas. Overall, though, the motel was decent, though somewhat bare-bones.
