Nice Place

I have stayed at this hotel twice and both times it has been clean and quiet. The staff has been friendly. The breakfast is a little above average and has more variety than comparable hotels. My only complaint is that they automatically charge for the room safe usage and you must ask the front desk to remove the charge from your bill before checking out.

Not Bad

Pricey during the Strugis week, but not bad for the location and moderness. Rooms were very clean. Newer hotel. Decent breakfast. Only minus are lumpy beds and a pressure issue with the ceiling (anytime a nearby room closed/slammed the door, the false ceiling would buffett, a little annoying). Also not hotels fault, but Rapid City garbage collection is at 5:30 AM for this place. Dumpster slamming woke me up from a good sleep. I would stay again.

More than one Inexperienced staff members

While the location is central to many of the areas activities..., and the breakfast and kitchen staff were very nice, I was struck by the seemingly inexperienced front desk and housekeeping staff. Frankly it seemed as if a group of young kids were running the place. On one occasion, the Front desk staff chatted away while I waited to be helped. Our room was not even cleaned the first day, and after she finally did clean, we never had trash can liners for the rest of the trip....GROSS!!! The whole other wing of our floor smelled like vomit... !!!! I never got to use the beautiful pool, as some kid puked in it... I realize that the pool issue was not their fault, and when we pointed stuff out to them, they did fix them... like our broken bathroom door. I shouldn't have to ask for a clean room, and the housekeeping staff should have realized that our bathroom door did not close, and have it fixed before we even got there. I loved Rapic City, but I would never stay at this hotel again.

Great Hotel in Rapid City

We stayed 3 nights while sightseeing in the Badlands / Black Hills area. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The pool / hot tub area is excellent. They have free beer and wine on weekday evenings, and the continental breakfast was good. The hotel is only a short drive from shopping and restaurants. We're travel website members and the rate we got made this an outstanding value.

Great Hotel, Great Location !

We selected this hotel due to it's close proximity to downtown and that is a fairly new hotel. We were not disappointed. The staff was great as was the room itself. The room was new and very clean. The pool area was huge. I think we were in the pool or jacuzzi at least twice a day. Although there was not a big selection for the free breakfast, it was however very sufficient. It was only about a 20-30 min drive to most attractions. We even went to Mt. Rushmore twice. We will be back !
