Not worth it

Seemed OK on the surface, even if it was a bit institutional/bland. We weren't concerned too much with atmosphere, since we were planning to spend most of our time hiking in the Ruby Mountains anyway. Then, the trouble started -- little to no hot water, very poor service (we took out our own trash and had to get towels from the front desk after calling down for them twice). Staff seems disinterested or is not able to help for some reason. We definitely will not be staying here again. I wish we had seen the lower ratings on this site before we stayed here!

Not good

The desk clerk was wearing an AC/DC t-shirt. Not that that would be a bad thing, but at work? That should have been our clue to take a hike. The room was not very clean, and when I tried to turn on the shower, the faucet handle came off in my hand. The tub was black with soap scum film. Every "conversation" and otherwise that went on in the room next to us was very audible. This was horrible. We got up very early the next morning just to get out of there.

The real thing

This place is just as advertised ? a nice quiet, clean place for travelers. Solde doors and walls, and TRIPLE paned windows to keep the noise minimized. The internet connection is a little slow, but it works.

Couldn't believe I was in NV!!!

Even with small children, we found this hotel stay to be quite nice. We checked in quite late at night with no problems. Unlike most NV hotels, our things did NOT smell of smoke. That was really nice. No casino to walk through. We had a problem with our toilet, called the front desk, and within three minutes, the repair guy was there and had it fixed within minutes.VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE!

Never again.

The staff were disinterested and rude. My reservation clearly stated that I had a room with 2 double beds (which we needed, since there were 4 of us, with the 2 kids) booked but they attempted to give us a room with a single king size bed then made a huge deal about changing it and seemed to expect my gratitude when they said they wouldn't charge me extra!
