Andrew Jackson Hotel

Quote: We were disappointed when we originally saw the room. Chipped veneer furniture, closet bathroom with only a tiny shower. No parking what so ever. There is apparently a phantom parking area that is only known to the man at the desk. (And... Read the full Andrew Jackson Hotel review

Wouldn't stay again

  • 3 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • December 7, 2009
Quote: Our room was very small and VERY cold. Staff seemed very unconcerned. The third day we found out the thermostat was controlled by another room, door had a quarter of inch gap in the threshold and exposed plumbing under the bath sink which lead to... Read the full Andrew Jackson Hotel review

Great location - small room

  • 4 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • April 24, 2009
Quote: The Andrew Jackson is in a great location. The hotel has a very nice courtyard, and the staff was very nice. Only drawback is that the room was a little small, but that is probably expected from an older hotel.

Quote: it was cold in the room the first night but we got use to it after that. then we got comfortable. the room was a little too smaller than what most rooms are but the front desk people were so nice it kinda made up for it.

Not a 3 star hotel

  • 2 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • August 10, 2008
Quote: I'm not sure how the Andrew Jackson gets 3 star hotel status. The room (room 102) looked as though it had not been renovated in decades. The bathtub needed caulking badly, the bed linens looked ancient, as did all of the furniture (including the... Read the full Andrew Jackson Hotel review

look no further!

  • 5 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • July 2, 2008
Quote: If you are looking for a great little hotel in the heart of the quarter, look no further than the Andrew Jackson! It's in a great central location, quiet and charming, yet close enough to all the fun. No pool, but a three-block walk will take you to... Read the full Andrew Jackson Hotel review

Very rude staff

  • February 25, 2008
Quote: I made my reservation through the travel website for April 11th - 14th 2007 (have since canceled and changed hotel.) At that time of the reservation there was no where to request a room with 2 dbl beds. The next morning I called the hotel myself to... Read the full Andrew Jackson Hotel review

Like Coming Home!

  • December 25, 2007
Quote: We LOVED staying at the Andrew Jackson. Stayed there on a spring break trip with my daughter. They greeted us by FIRST NAMES when we walked in the lobby - that was nice! The staff was so personable. Rooms are huge; eclectic mix of furniture, bed... Read the full Andrew Jackson Hotel review

Super

  • September 10, 2007
Quote: I am a student and went to New Orleans for Spring Break. I was a bit nervous because of all the bad press N.O. had gotten. I felt very safe here and was never afraid in the hotel, my room, or walking to and from the hotel. You can easily walk to... Read the full Andrew Jackson Hotel review

Excellent hotel

  • August 10, 2007
Quote: Our stay was wonderful. The hotel is very nice, clean, high ceilings. The air conditioner worked well which was great cause it was over 100 degrees plus there is a ceiling fan. The court yard is very nice to sit in during the evening. There is no... Read the full Andrew Jackson Hotel review
