A Great Place for the Price!

This motel was a pleasant surprise! We stayed for one night on our way to Montana, and specifically chose this motel, based on its location to Old Town. We planned our stop in Fort Collins so that we could spend a full afternoon and evening there, since we had heard such wonderful things about Fort Collins. We wanted to stay close to Old Town so that we could fully explore this quaint and charming area. This motel was the perfect location to Old Town (about 7 blocks) and was one of the few motels that was within walking distance (it is also located directly across from Colorado State University). The room was a nice size, and was clean and comfortable (it also came complete with a fridge and microwave); the staff was friendly; and the pool was fabulous - a large indoor pool that was very well maintained, with a nice hot tub/jacuzzi. There is also a fitness room right off of the pool area, although we did not use it. We were very pleased with this motel for the price, and we would defeintely stay there again. Don't let the outside fool you - it is nothing fancy, but the inside is very nice and quite comfortable. Our only suggestion would be to specifically ask that you not be placed in the room that is located just off of the pool - it actually has a door leading straight to the pool, which is convienent, but the noise from the pool does stream in. All and all, we found it to be a great bang for the buck! :-)

Hotel description was as they said--Immagine that! European style (smaller) rooms COMPLETELY redone. Great beds, linens, ammenities. High visabillity of personnel, including manager, at front desk 24/7. Everything comfortable. Hot tub was, to-the-bone 108o with self-imposed 15" limit. Pool manager works hard to convince you the pool - just had its Grand Opening. Towels provided. Good security practices, Think Fort Knox and close by parking. newer building, at the back the best choice. Excellent sound proofing. Walking to Old Town...more of a hike, but excellent food/bev opportunities abound within 3 Blocks. CSU access across a busy suburban street but a snap for younger famllies with Univ Business / visitation We forgot ethernet connection which was instantly provided by attentive college student employees. Room maids arrive early and appear to have been there for some time. Free usable state maps. Breakfast predictable-good. Coffee provided with in-room service--weak. The employees in the Core of Ft. Colllins willing to provide personal services to help you find what you came for. Asian Fusian wonderful @ Lu Lu's, downtown, and Inca, Tres Margaritas (S.College); plus Rio Grande ---> adventuresome Mexican. Did I mention the Fat Tire brewery?

The location was great and the staff was very helpful. IT is the closest hotel to CSU which made it the best place for my family to stay while visiting our two kids at campus.
