I would stay there again.

A friend and I travelled there for a wedding. The wedding was at the Radisson, however their price of rooms were out of our range, therefore we opted to stay here. We stayed in the suite - I only rated the bed comfort as okay (as I slept on the sofa bed), the main bed was very comfortable. When we arrived, at approximately 2:50pm, we were told that our room was not ready - check in was at 3pm. They did however let us go ahead and place our stuff in the room instead of just hanging around the lobby. The staff was nice, the room was clean, and the breakfast was better than expected. The disadvantages - our room view was that of the parking lot and another hotel front, even though our room faced the beach, you could not see the beach at all. The walk to the beach - it isn't bad, it is long, and I wouldn't walk it alone at night. There is not any lighting on the walkway and that could be dangerous at night alone. For the price and the fact that it met my expectations, I would stay there again.
Owner is dishonest

Inept employee cancelled my daughter and friends reservation, myself and daughter's friend's father and kids were promised a refund. Owner now says he made no such claim, there are four of us who know better. Never make a reservation in a hotel operated by a dishonest man.
Great Price ,Great Motel

The Motel was very friendly all the staff and the front desk were helpful in giving us directions and information. the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the pool was warm,the motel wa only a short walk from the ocean. I will stay there again when I return to South Padre Island.
A good vacation

This is a standard Comfort Suites with reasonable access to the beach. This is NOT a beach front hotel, but they provide a 200' walkway to the beach. The rooms do not have a view of the sea either. The hotel is located near several restaurants so it is a good location. The hotel provides a good breakfast and a heated pool. Since we were there in the winter the Gulf was too cold for swimming, but the kids loved the pool. The weather was certainly adequate for walking the beach. We had a good time at South Padre and this hotel was a good base of operations for our vacation.
