Great Location, Beautiful Room, Comfortable Bed
Disappointing

Our recent stay at the Westin Hotel on Michigan Avenue was somewhat disappointing. For a pricey $*/night, there weren't any amenities. Bottled water in the room was $5/each beyond the usual costly in-room bar items. The tub was plugged up when we tried to take our initial shower, although it was fixed promptly upon a service call. There is only one restaurant in the hotel with a limited menu; there is no local sports channel in the rooms, so we were unable to watch a White Sox ballgame unless we stayed in the bar, also pricey (no nuts/chips offered). There is no complimentary shuttle service from Ohare Airport to/from the hotel (cost is $*/person via shuttle or $* for a cab ride). On a positive note, the concierges were very helpful and courteous. Overall, I would rank this Westin as mediocre at best. Nothing offered by the Westin made it "special".

Nice rooms and great beds. The staff were very friendly. We liked the hotel restaurant - good food & ambience, but bar was very smoky. Workout room well stocked with cario machines (for a hotel). The only drawback is that the cost -

nice hotel but our room was right next to the elevator, so it was pretty loud all night.

The Westin was a modern hotel with clean, tasteful and friendly lobby and comfortable rooms. Very quiet. Service was efficient, except for conciege service - couldn't find him or her or the number for the service in the room. I would stay there again.
