The room was clean and fresh each day when I came back from the horse show. This in spite of the state that I left it each morning. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to retrieve an item we had left after check-out.
The pool is well maintained and at a great temperature, as is the hot water section. The restaurant was good, and again the staff very helpful. They have recently redecorated the lobby and the restaurant and it makes it look more vibrant and fresh. It has easy access to the race track, the casino, shopping, restaurants (countless restaurants are withing 2 miles), and the freeway.
Parking easily accomodates a 1-ton dually truck. My favorite place to stay when I'm in this part of El Paso!

Be careful about making a reservation here unless you are absolutely sure there is no chance of cancellation. I was charged an entire night even though I cancelled my resrvation 36 hours before check-in. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again due to this inflexible, mean-spirited policy

What made this hotel was the staff! They were exceptionally friendly on arrival and very helpful at getting a room that was convenient for traveling with children. The cleaning staff did a very good job with the rooms and they were clean and presented very well. The beds were soft which my wife liked. The staff kept us away from noisy guests so the kids could sleep, which I loved. The hotel is convenient to IH-10, Sunland Park, UTEP, and anything on the west side or down town. The hotel is a bit older and shows some wear, but is still nice. The chef is no five star chef, but the food was still good. The real bonus was the staff. Everyone of the staff was quick, friendly and made you feel a bit more relaxed than when you came in.

This hotel just completed a renovation and man is it awesome. Not your typical Holiday Inn. The lobby, bar, restaurant and fitness center are great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to El Paso. The location is quiet but close to the highway, mall, casino and other activities. The staff really cares about the people there, you aren't just a number.

We stayed here for the 2006 Sun Bowl (Go Beavers!) and we were quite happy with the willingness of the staff to shuttle us anywhere we wanted to go, especially at one of their busiest times. It made the experience so enjoyable!
