I had the opportunity to stay at the Sheraton National on 5/27 and was pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel but very disappointed in the fact that the room rate was over $*** per night and I was asked to pay an additional $18.00 for parking each night... At that rate I would have been embarrased to ask for it had I been the owner of the hotel. The parking deck had less than 20 total cars in it... Room was clean and room service was very quick. Food was okay but not quite worth the inflated menu price and the additional 22% charge for room service and the additional $4.00 for delivery to the room... I would stay again but only at a reduced room rate.
Would stay again

D.C. is spendy! That being said, this hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The service was excellent and the entire staff could not have been any friendlier!! I will stay here anytime I visit the D.C. area!!!

Online travel website recommended this hotel as an add on to my airline tickets. It worked out to a very reasonable $**/night, which was a huge savings over the conference hotel down the road ($***/night). The biggest drawback to the Sheraton National is that it is not on the metro line, but a shuttle leaves every half-hour to go to the Pentagon City station and National Airport. Once you're at Pentagon City (3 minutes away), you can easily get to anyplace in DC.
The staff of the hotel was very courteous and always eager to help. The room was clean and more than adequate, including a large flat screen TV. Internet service in room cost $12/day (how come this is free in a Motel 6 or Super 8?). Hotel bar was decent, although they were completely out of any draft beer.
Great Hotel
