I booked this hotel online. The pictures are deceiving. Upon entering the hotel lobby I was greeted by a smoke filled room. The lobby was very unsightly and the room was no better. The bathroom looked as if it had not been updated since the sixties. The carpet and bed comforter looked dirty. I was scared to touch anything. I cried my eyes out for selecting such a horrible place to stay. As a result, my husband and I checked into a nicer hotel a few buildings down. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is NOT worth the money.

Booked the room on online travel website with checkout for 12pm. Posted checkout on arrival was 11am. Manager would not honor advertised time as booked. He was willing to let it be @ 11:30 the morning of checkout when I called early that am, but he was not very friendly when i came to the desk @ 11:25am. The bedsheets were gritty with hair & small particles & the bottom sheet was not even fitted. The overlying old blanket had several cigarette burn holes & this was even supposed to be a non-smoking room. I didn't sleep well, feeling like I was in a dirty bed & wondering if there were bugs in the sheets too. The mattress was also warped. The nearest eating place was a Subway in a convenience store & did not apear like a very safe area.

I stayed there enroute to San Antonio and returning. The room was to be non-smoking but when I entered the first thing I saw was an ashetray & cigarette burns on furniture. The remote for the tv did not work and the desk clerk was not one bit congenial. There was not adequate parking. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

Our family enjoyed the room and we had a wonderful to the battle ship on Sunday. Thanks for the special memories we will always have of our youngest daugher first trip to the port.

this establishment is old and is in serious need of updating. the price was good but the a/c drained into the room (wet carpet), the room smelled of smoke (a non-smoking room), the tile in the shower was cracked and the fixtures leaked. the coffee was free and ok. bottom line: for an additional $20.00 i could have stayed in a nicer place ( and i feel it would have been worth it)
