Too small for comfort

We were very disappointed in the size of the room. It contained a King size bed which took up most of the space in the room. There was no place to set up the roll away for our preschooler so we had to set it up by the door which blocked access to the bathroom. The room was so tiny that we had no place to store our luggage. They gave us three small drawers to unload 3 suitcases. There was a fee for internet access. The walk to the pool was far. We had to go through the lobby of the main building just to get there. The heated pool was cold/tempid. There was no place in the room to sit and eat a snack or enjoy your coffee. The balcony was so small that you could barely fit 2 people outside. The room was clean but the bed was too soft and the duvee was not large enough for two adults. For the price we paid we expected a lot more. Especially from a four star hotel/resort.

Our three night stay at the Marriott in Newport Beach was wonderful. As we arrived late and left early for flights at John Wayne Airport, we found the location perfect. We traveled to the Los Angeles beaches as well as Hollywood, etc. and the drive was fairly easy. The room was extremely spacious and clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Fashionably surprised

This is one of the nicer Marriotts that I've stayed at. Was here on business and brought my family. Rooms were well appointed; grounds well kept; staff very pleasant; nice fitness room (lots of cardio and weight machines); walking distance to Fashion Island; food for our event was excellent; walls are a little thin for the price you pay (could hear person in next room talking on cell phone) but it was otherwise very nice.

Horrible!

If you want bad service and many charges on your bill that you didn't make then come here. I had my wedding here and had the worst experience so in the middle of my stay I canceled the rest of the weeks reservations and for $50.00 more bucks a night stayed at a hotel on the beach with great service!

Beautiful Hotel!

Rooms were amazing. Staff is very friendly. Can be confusing to get to elevators off the main wing the 1st cpl times since nothing is marked.
