The good and bad....

Overall our stay here was good. The rooms are well equipped with modern style. We upgraded to the Executive level which granted us access to the "lounge" to enjoy great appetizers and cash bar for drinks at night, and a great continental breakfast. The employees in the lounge were fantastic. But the lounge is like a closet, kind of hidden and not a place you want to hang out in for too long.
Worst part about this hotel: the stairs -- and there were only 5 of them, but it really made our stay frustrating. The entire lobby/pool/restaurant area is on one floor, and all the hotel rooms are either 5 steps up, or 5 steps down. When you have a baby carriage or other wheeled device, you've got to carry them up the small flight of stairs each time you leave/return to the room.
Don't use the Concierge. They were absolutely no help to me and my family, sending us to an expensive restaurant that was child-unfriendly, when I asked for a place that was loud and ok for my 9-month old to "be herself".
It was an expensive stay as well, but in the end, I wanted a place that was in a good part of town, walking distance to most cool places and had a pool, (and by the way, the rooftop pool is on the roof, but there are NO views into the city from there, despite their web photos.) Got what I wanted, but will try my luck at a different hotel next time.

Had a wonderful time in Montreal while staying at this Hilton. The entire hotel experience was first rate. Staffers were always very courteous, helpful and friendly. The hotel has well appointed and comfortable rooms as well as a nice heated outdoor swimming pool. The breakfast brunch was also awesome and reasonably priced. The hotel is centrally located atop a metro station and just 2 blocks away from the busy main retail drag of St. Catherine's.

Location was great. In the heart of downtown, close walking to Old Montreal, the park, shopping, and dining. Easy access to subway, trains, and buses. Made getting around quick. Bed may have been the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Rooms and hotel were updated and very nice. A unique hotel that hits on all notes.
Would stay again

Stayed in the newly remolded executive rooms at the hilton Oct 4 through the 6 of 2007.
Rooms where nice, clean and pleasant to be in. Seemed a little small, but not cramped. Bed was clean and comfortable. Executive lounge was a very nice touch. Had nice breakfast there. Cocktails after 5pm. Should have been complimentary but oh well. Would certainly stay here again.

"My husband and I and another couple stayed here after we went to see a concert. The concert was wonderful, as was the service and stay at the hotel! Everyone was very helpful from the point of check-in until we left including food ordered at 11:30 p.m. which was delivered very quickly and was excellent. My favorite part....the beds! This has got to be THE most comfortable bed I have every slept on...felt like sleeping on a cloud covered by clouds! Everything was very cozy! I would definitely stay here again."
