CLose to Mayo, old place in disrepair, poor service

This place is close to the clinic, or we would have left when we got to the room. When we arrived, one of the elevators was broken, there was only one person at check-in and a huge line, and not nearly enough parking. The capper was arriving too tired to deal with these issues especially since I was travelling with a sick husband, and then turning the covers back only to find a BLOOD STAIN on the coverlet. The appliances are old and noisy. There aren't even ice machines on all the floors. The pool is VERY small and the 'spa/whirlpool' is the size of a two person tub - I'm not kidding!! The 'continental breakfast' is horrible. Service is terrible. And we never did get a replacement cover for the bed!! I would not recommend this place. EVER.
strictly the Mayo clinic location

I was there as a Mayo clinic patient, and the location makes this worth putting up with some 0f the other problems. Connection with the clinic underground subways is great, making weather less of a hassle. A coffee shop, sandwiches and full-service restaurant and convenience store are also helpful for being there from out of town. The breakfast supplied is convenient and adequate, if not exceptional.
Elevator service is not adequate -- there's always a long wait, and the place owns only ONE luggage cart, which is never available. No one is available to help with luggage when there isn't a cart. Desk help varies from helpful and friendly to annoyed and snarly, depending on who it is.
Biggest downside here is the cleanliness. Bed comforters are unwashed between guests, and the first stay, I had one that smelled really bad. Dishes and mini-kitchen supplies are not well cleaned, nor is their a way to disinfect them. Given this is a location used by worldwide visitors to a medical clinic, I'd recommend bringing your own, or using the disposables provided by room service delivery. The spa is so thick with chemicals it looks like milk and the pool is so shallow that you can't stretch out and swim real laps without hitting the bottom. Scum along the edges again, makes you wonder about the sanitation.
If I decide to go back here, it will be strictly because of the location. It might be worth the price if the place was clean and had enough luggage carts and elevators.

Mayo clinic brought us here. Check in was quick and desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Room was ok. Bathroom was clean. Parking in their ramp was full so we parked in the Graham ramp. Front desk validated our ticket so parking was free. No hassles. Pool is small and hot tub is very small. Breakfast was good just need to realign food items so people aren't bumping into each other. Very convenient location to our appointments!! We will definitely stay here again when clinic brings us back!!

Great location in downtown Rochester. Connected to a skyway system which leads to a shipping mall with a great restaurant (Michael?s) and other hotels. This is great in the winter months so you can go out for dinner and drinks and not even bring a coat. The hotel is a full service hotel with 24 hour room service, 2 restaurants and a Starbucks. The hotel shows it age in the bathrooms, but the room was big, clean and comfortable. Check out their weekend packages?they are a great deal.

Overall, my experience was a positive one. I like the convience of having a nice restaurant located in the complex, the connection to Mayo Clinic, and the extras the motel offered on the premises. The parking lots for the motel were cramped, and a bit scary to navigate, though. I would definitely stay there again. As a patient at the Mayo Clinic, the convience of walking to appointments, without having to move my car was very nice.
