Nice Hotel at a great deal

I stayed here in May 2007 during a very quiet period. The hotel is very close to Orlando conference center- some chose to walk. Fresh Coffee on every floor (all day) with Free Breakfast in the morning (not just "continental") with a different feature item each morning. I had no problems with any part of the stay. King bed had tons of pillows (hard & soft) to choose from. I choose this as an alternative to the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort and was only five minutes away. Only negative at all was the hotel entrance was hard to spot the way the roads intersected.

When I arrived, I immediately noticed how clean the hotel was. The woman at the front desk was very professional, knowledgeable and warm. The sign in the Lobby in reference to when breakfast is busy and not so busy was a nice touch! The Maintenance Supervisor did a great job on maintaining the pool.
Each day, however, I had to go to the front desk and ask to have pool towels placed in the fresh pool towel bin, for no matter what time of the day I arrived, there were none. Also, it would be a great idea if someone were to make a sign, stating that when a guest was finished with his/her pool chaise, the guest could kindly put his/her towel in the used towel bin! I never knew if a chair was available or not, and there's not that much pool seating for a hotel of this size.
In addition, I found I didn't have to set an alarm, for each morning, I could hear the other hotel room doors slamming. I suggest purchasing and installing door springs on each hotel room door so that they can close without disturbing the hotel guests while sleeping.
Also, the so called Hi-Speed internet at this hotel is more congruent to "Dial-up" speed.
If i wasn't getting booted off, I had to wait sometimes a few minutes for a page to download.
The breakfast spread in the morning from 6-10 is outstanding!! And they keep up with it until the very end of the breakfast period.
While this hotel has postive attributes, I will not stay here again. Guests should be able to sleep in as long as they want without having to wear ear plugs. Guests should not have to ask for pool towels everyday while being there.Only some of the staff was professional.

Just returned from the Hampton (August 2006) - very impressive! Accommodation excellent! Linen was changed every day with replenished stocks of toiletries provided daily! Pool great with complimentary towels. Ice machines located on each floor! The breakfast was marvellous which consisted of an a buffet style `all you can eat` affair and exceeded our expectations! The staff were extremely helpful especially the staff in the dining area who were absolutely wonderful! We will certainly be returning to this hotel! The children didnt want to leave
