Exicited about visiting PS celebrating our engagment, we arrived Friday night after a motorcycle ride from San Diego. Hotel looked great from the outside but when we entered the lobby I noticed the carpet needed vacuuming. We checkin, the front desk clerk offered to upgrade because our "pool view" room that cost us an extra $ per night, had two double beds and a very poor location. We went into the upgraded suit and was shocked at the conference table that was shedding varnish from end to end and should have been taken to the swap meet years ago. Returning to the front desk, I asked for another room and after looking at three, we settled on a king room over looking the roof of the port o cochere. The room was nice, just not overlooking the pool like we were anticipating.
The elevators, all three, had filthy carpet which stayed filthy all weekend long. Numerous staff used the elevators and none of them thought of vacuuming them or getting housekeeping to vacuum them. If you visit PS, you must go by to see if the carpets are still as filthy as they were on our trip. We were shocked at the filth. The property has great potential, just needs beds, furnishings and a good cleaning.
The best part about our trip was the fact it was 110 degrees and we spent most of the day in their very nice pool.
