Better than expected

We booked this hotel expecting the worst, as it had bad reviews. However we were VERY pleased with the hotel. It was cheap, clean, and quiet. The only problems were that the entrance stairs are steep, and our TV had a fuzzy picture. They are currently renovating thier courtyard, which looks like it will be really nice when finished. Would definatly go back.

If all you're looking for is a bed and place to wash up. This is the place. If you want style and comfort look elsewhere.Talk about no frills. Beds and bathroom were clean, though. Undergoing renovations.Breakfast was a HUGE disappointment: Two kinds of bargain cold cereal, "make it yourself" waffles but NO BUTTER or MARGARINE. No other pastries. No fresh fruit or even jam or jelly was available.

Great breakfast, clean rooms, just not easy to get to from the opposite direction on the highway

"This is a basic motel with a miminum of extras. The location is great, ~ 8 miles from Huntington METRO station and 14 miles from Washington DC center. Rooms and the common access areas are neat and clean. The rooms face into an inside court increasing security. Did not expect much and was not disappointed. I would stay in this motel again."

I was not at the Econo Lodge very much, just at night. You cannot beat the price for the location. About 15 min outside of Washington D.C. and easily accessable via 495 and 95. Not a classy place, but for a group on a budget, it gets the job done. The outside looks shaky, but the inside and the rooms are nice.
