My husband and I stayed only for 2 nights and had a room with a king bed, bottom floor. and near the pool.. We were actually surprised at the large size of the room. Everything was beautifully done in the room. It had recessed lighting at the top of the bed area in addition to lamps. It made it quite cozy. Plush towels and fresh linen! It was great that they offered 2 free bottles of the water chilled already. The bathroom area was also roomy. Only drawback was the small sink. Not enough area to put your toiletries. You could also hear heavy footsteps and the creaking of our ceiling due to movement of people upstairs. That was the most irritating part.especially when you are trying to get some sleep. The big plus of this hotel was the free breakfast. It had everything! From omelets, biscuit/gravy, boiled eggs, bacon/sausage to danishes, cereal, breads etc. MacDonalds and Applebees was also across the street too. The hotel had easy access to the freeway. Amenities are great!

My parents came to visit for the weekend. Hotel was very busy and only had 2nd floor rooms left. My dad has a bad knee so I stayed at the hotel and let them stay at my apartment. Hotel was much nicer than my first impression. Rooms had everything I needed including free bottles of water. Breakfast was above average as well as the staff, very friendly. I would recommend this hotel for anyone comming to the area.

We often stay at HI Express when traveling. We have generally found them to be clean, economical and well maintained. The HI Express in Santa Rosa is no exception. While their mattresses are probably ready to be changed, nonetheless, the value received for the price was worth a fraction of discomfort. Easily accessible from US 101 and close to both Sonoma and Napa (about 40 minutes of beautiful driving through the hills).

The beds/linens were great with lots of pillows. Microwave, coffee pot, & refrig all worked well. Complimentary water was very nice. Will not hesitate to stay there again. Very clean and quite. Actually slept in a hotel. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

The manager ,after taking my business platinum amex card threatened "if I smoke in the room we'll see how high my limit will go". The first room smelled so awful, and there was a suspicious white stain on the bed cover. The second room did not smell as bad, but was stained&sticky
