Beautiful!

Yes, beautiful and we are coming back this time for my husband's birthday this June. We celebrated our 20th Anniversary here last February and it was the best moment and place we've ever seen and been in southern indiana. The hotel lobby is gorgeous, we cannot resist to have a souvenir photo. The sister hotel West Baden was fantastic! We visited that hotel in the evening and the dome sight was awesome! So fascinated, we came back the next day for more photos. The food is delicious in the hotel buffet and the best thing was the discount we had that day that we didn't expect. We're just so contented and happy that we celebrated our anniversary in this beautiful hotel. You should see it! Oh, we've loved the casino and the people are so friendly. We're on our way back soon!

Great history, very friendly, destination getaway

This is a wonderful gem in the hills of southern Indiana. Wonderful history with this and the adjoining West Baden Springs. Beautiful lobby, great pool (in and out), very nice spa, and good dining options (1875 Steakhouse quite pricey, but excellent). Ample staff - very friendly and helpful. We will certainly return - with the kids next.

Local Secrets, Big Finds 2007 Pick

Millions of dollars spent on renovations, mineral springs known for their healing powers, and "nostalgic accommodations with world-class amenities" make this resort "the spot of many memory-making visits." The two-hour drive from Indianapolis shows off the natural beauty of each season, and once guests arrive they can "stroll shaded walkways amid lush gardens of colorful flowers." Originally opened in 1845, a visit here is a little like "going back in time," yet with all the modern-day amenities, plus a European spa where you can svisit the famous gazebo housing the Pluto mineral springs.

Wonderful resort. Beds are comfy; bathrooms luxurious. Great historic atmosphere. Superb pools and hot tubs; food delicious. Bowling Alley is fun. Casino excellent. I love it here!

Disappointing

We went to this hotel/casino for my birthday--it had only been opened a short while--and were very disappointing. While the room was nice, the service was horrible. We travelled with my senior mother and the beds were so high she had trouble getting in it! There were no safety bars in the shower, so that was another problem for her. The check in wait for OVER 45 MINUTES! The restaurant: Food was good, but service was horrible and we wait forever for our order.
