Rodeway 'Roah' Inn

This hotel room could be illustrated as unsanitary to say the least. The thin, blue comforters on both beds were covered with large and small circular stains. The exposed box frame from underneath had been colored with brown stains resembling the results of a previous visitors ?late night out?. Once my business group discovered these unsettling characteristics of this Rodeway Inn, an attempt to check out early and receive a money return was in order. We were refused any money back from the hotel attendant working the front desk, and were not even offered a different room for the night. I do not recommend anyone staying at this unsanitary facility.

OK but not great

Facility has the advantage of being cheap and well located. Easy access to buses, BART, etc. Elevator is ancient--almost frightening. Shower water restrictor is extreme--allows only a series of dribbles.

Nice location close to many attractions and public transportation. A little noisy but comfortable, clean and free parking! We also parked the next day for just $10 so we could sightsee by foot. I'd recommend to anyone looking for travel on a shoestring.

Not a great bargain...

Though the room was clean, the shower barely sprayed, the bed tilted sharply to one side, and the sheets were very scratchy and "old" smelling. We arrived to the hotel by 6:00 p.m., and were told that the free parking had already been taken. The man at the desk was neither cordial nor professional, and told us that we would have to be up at 7:00 a.m. the next morning to feed the meter on the street where we had to park our car. I will not stay here again, nor will I reccommend it to others.

Best One Star Hotel in the City

I've stayed at a lot of one star hotels in San Francisco, and this is by far the nicest. It is on the edge of a rough area so it isn't for the squeamish.
