The Sun Suites was wonderful for the price. We had everything we needed in our room. A full kitchen with dishes and untensils. Our room was clean and really comfortable. We had a light bulb go out during our stay and the maintenance man came up and changed it right away. The staff was great.
No Irons, Rude Staff.

I booked one night at the hotel for an interview I had in the local area. I am upset about this place because all I wanted was to show up to my interview in a nicely pressed shirt, and pants. There was no iron or ironing board in the room. I called the office and they keep the irons there for safekeeping. I borrow an iron, but they don't have any ironing boards. Fine, I'll use a towel on the floor. The iron did not work so I return it for another one and of course there are no more. I got all this information from a rude attendant that I was bothering because I interupted her conversation with her friend that was hanging out in the office. I had to buy and iron at Walmart to get my shirt pressed. The room was just a room. I didn't expect more than that but working equipment/amenities, I do, along with courteous staff as well.
Spend the extra money, I know I will next time.

I picked a queen size bed non-smoking room on online travel website but when I got to the Sun Suites they gave me a smoking room. The young lady at the front desk told me that they do not guarantee non smoking accomedations online travel website reservations. I had to deal with the smell of smoke in this room and also in my clothes as I traveled around Charlotte.
I don't know the relationship online travel website has with the Sun Suites but I feel they didn't appreciate online travel website reservations.

The room itself was fine. It was not clean. It looked as if it had just been straightened up from the previous guest. The bathroom floor was dirty and there was hair everywhere. I had reserved a non-smoking room and the room smelled terribly of cigarrette smoke. There were two of us staying in the room and there was one washcloth in the bathroom. There was suppose to be an iron and iron board in the room but there was not. There was a card on the night stand that stated that the room had been inspected but clearly that was not true. I would not stay there agan.

This hotel was disgusting. The room had obviously not been cleaned since the last person that stayed in it... there was used soap in the shower and trash in the trash can. Not to mention the stained sheets and comforter... we couldn't even stay in the room - we went to the Best Western across the road. The manager processed our refund promptly - we are due that on the first.
