Orange Lake CC is located just a few miles from Disney World on Route 192 in Orlando, FL, Disney World is just minutes away. SeaWorld, Universal Studios, and all the wonderful experiences and restaurants of Orlando are all just a short drive away, too.Orange Lake is a beautiful, spacious, self-contained timeshare resort with about 2,000 units. Each unit (except the studios) is equipped with a full kitchen, laundry facilities, and beautifully decorated living/dining rooms. Most two-bedroom units feature whirlpool tubs in the master bedroom. Three-bedroom units feature a separate living room/bedroom area for the third bedroom. Why vacation out of a hotel room when a resort like this is available? There are more than seven pools located throughout the resort including a beautiful pool complex complete with water slides, a lazy river, restaurants, shops, and Internet access known as River Island. Just completed in May, 2006, River Island makes Orange Lake the perfect destination for families as well as single adults looking for a great vacation.
There is also a huge pool complex located in the West Village, featuring four pools (including an Olympic-size pool for the serious swimmer), a miniature gold course, bar and plenty of places to relax in the sun or shade. The North Village features Splash Lagoon, a large, walk-in swimming area with water fountains, restaurants, and lots of fun. The existence of three large, separate swimming areas keeps your vacation from getting boring!Orange Lake is a complete vacation destination, even if you're not a big Disney World fan. There are four beautiful golf courses, a movie theater gym, and a beautiful lake with water sports (such as jet skis, boating, water skiing) along with the three large pool areas. A fun-packed daily activity schedule includes bingo, children's craft activities, nightly adult and family activities, and various exercise classes. On-site restaurants meet anyone's needs, from Pizza to fine dining. On-site shuttle service is available at regular intervals throughout the day and evening, so you don't even need to worry about your car.Orange Lake is a great destination whether you're looking for a restful, calm vacation or a fun-filled week at the parks. We've done both—stayed at the resort and relaxed all week, and explored Universal or Disney World all week, and Orange Lake has made all our vacations exceptional!

Our two-bedroom unit is always perfect. Everything you need is there. We usually start by driving into Kissimmee to purchase any needed supplies, groceries, refreshments, etc. Once back at the resort, we very much enjoy lying by the pool side, listening to live music and sipping on favorite drink. Later, we take a dip in the pool to refresh before dinner. The resort has beautiful restaurants right on the property. After dinner, we take in one of the many shows nearby. Our favorite is Arabian Nights. Back at the resort we soak in the hot tub or take a swim before taking our evening stroll along Orange Lake. When we return to our unit, we can enjoy a nice glass of wine and sit on our screened-in patio looking out over the lake. One thing is for sure: the days spent at Orange Lake sure go by quickly. If you haven't been, you must!

There is plenty to do at the resort. There were plenty of pools, splash lagoon, putt-putt, and golf. You could play ping-pong and shuffleboard for free. They have a lake where you could rent jet skis and paddle boats. We had a smaller, more private pool outside our room.
I enjoyed the Legends golf course. They give you country club service. I just showed up and they were able to get me on the course .The resort course was closed for repairs.
They are building a lazy river that will open next year. I will need to come back to check this out.
There are activities going on all the time. You can keep yourself busy at the resort or go visit Disney. We spent most of the time at Universal Studios and the beach, so we didn't take part in much of the activities.
This is a timeshare, so they will try to get to listen to the presentation and offer some gifts. It is your choice, and they are not pushy. We listened to the presentation and it took about 1 1/2 hours.
