Very nice hotel in NY Financial District

The room was great and the hotel was located near a few subway stations. If you need to be in the Financial District, this is a great place. Walking distance to South Street Seaport and Battery Park area, as well as the World Trade Center site. The online travel website price was far and away the best deal.
I will definately stay here again and again!!!!

The pictures are exactly how the hotel looks. The location is great as it is not in or near Times Square but just a short train ride away and very quiet to get away to. The hotel and staff were great. Very friendly and very helpful, especially to us tourists. The location of this hotel is central to all public transportation which makes it a great place to stay. I highly recommend it!
Great Time in New York

This hotel is really nice. Although they are working on the elevators to upgrade them, the wait was not long going up/down and between floors. They do have a Starbucks shop in the hotel so our one travel mate could get her "fix" every day. The front desk was very helpful in finding a pizza shop to deliver in the monsoon rains from Hurricane Hanna that hit NYC - and also provided umbrellas so visitors could brave the elements if they chose to do so. Our only complaint was that the drinks in the bar were ridiculously priced and service was somewhat slow.
The hotel location is great to explore Battery Park, Pier 17 area, Financial District and the subway is not far away. The only time we needed a taxi was to get to/from the airport.
Manhattan Downtown Hotel

Overall, this hotel met our expectations and was a good value for its location, just one block south of Ground Zero. It also had good access to Battery Park, Wall Street, and Trinity Church. It was within a couple of blocks of the various subway lines. It is not as centrally located as Midtown, but it was cheaper. One negative was during the check-in - the supervisor advised that they only had a King size bed for the 4 of us. I told her that we had booked through Travel online and that we had advised of 4 people and requested two beds. She indicated that Travel online simply guarantees a room, but that they never pass on a type of room. We pulled out our confirmation sheet from Travel online , showing our information for 4 people. Miraculously, she was then able to find a room with two beds. Bring your confirmation sheet! The only other negative was that we were driving and the parking cost was $50 per night, but that is to be expected in Manhattan. Keep in mind that if you drive, it is valet parking and it took us about 20 minutes to have our car retrieved. Otherwise, the hotel was fine - clean, quiet. It met our needs fine.

My wife and I stayed in this financial district Marriott (on a promotion price program we received from Marriott) for a few days before heading to Ireland for a vacation. The hotel was very crisp in detail, very clean, and upon boarding our plane for Ireland we discovered we had left a cell phone charger in the room. I called the hotel and they packaged the charger and mailed it to our home in Naples. Very responsive. We really liked the location, could view the Statue of Liberty from our room. Convenient to lower Manhatten sights and a good value with the Marriott promotion package.
