Beautiful, modern decor with clean lines and relaxing tones. Very comfortable and spacious lobby perfect for relaxing or gathering with friends/colleagues. Centrally located for the business or leisure traveler, surrounded by great shopping, restaurants and attractions. Professional and friendly staff. Excellent complimentary breakfast and happy hour daily. Complimentary computer access for those without laptops. Rooms are clean, fresh and bright, offering eco-conscious bath products! For the single traveler or entire family, the experience is completely 5 star without the 5 star expense! A must for anyone visiting the Los Angeles area. This hotel hasn't missed a thing!

A real boutique find

We've been going to the Elan for years----it has always been a terrific find and a wonderful hotel but we were back recently and it has been totally remodeled to make it better than ever. The rooms are moderately priced, very comfortable with all the luxury accessories. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating and the breakfast and wine hour, which are part of the rate, are terrific. It is really a European experience in the heart of Los Angeles and is walking distance to so many shopping areas and restaurants. We continue to return and are always delighted.

Stylishly good value in a great location

This recently remodeled hotel was a great base for our 2 day trip to LA. The rooms are nicely decorated and you get a bathrobe, the bathrobe is the mark of an upscale establishment. The free WiFi is really great, especially since I ended up having to work half of a day. We were really close to al the great shopping on Melrose and right around the corner from the Corenet, a fun little place to see live shows. And they have a great wine hour. The only thing I wish is that the beds were a little softer even though after sleeping on a soft bed for more than 2 nights my back starts to ache. I highly recommend this cute little wine hour they have in the evenings. I can't remark on breakfast since we missed that the days we were there.

Elan Hotel

The Elan hotel was superb. I stayed in four hotels in LA during my stay (I travelled from the UK) and it offered the cheapest rate and friendliest staff. Nothing was too much of a problem. A complimentary continental breakfast and wine reception in the early evening were really quite unique compared to what other hotels offer - by and large nothing complimentary. The rooms were clean and modern, with a balcony. The only downside was no pool. But the price reflects this as other hotels with a pool that don't offer as high a standard of accommodation were at least $50 a night more. Also, this makes it perfect if you are on business or simply want to make the most of the area including the fabulous beaches which are about a half hour in a taxi. The location is unrivalled, with the huge Beverly Shopping Centre a stone's throw from the hotel along with the trendy Beverly Hills restaurants like the Ivy. Thanks to the wonderful manager and staff. If I can, I will be back!

Excellent, stylish hotel

Our four day stay at the hotel Elan in West Hollywood was overall an superior experience. The hotel is artistically stylish, the room was beautiful, and the bed very comfortable. The continental breakfast was actually very good, with high quality breads and pastries. The complimentary wine and cheese at 5 PM was another unexpected bonus. Staff was courteous and prompt. Housekeeping will hound you in late afternoon to make the room even if you do not want to be disturbed. Two gripes: 1.Parking: either $* per day valet parking or park on the street and feed meters, which we did. This fee should be less for stays longer than two days. 2. The "Angel Soft" toilet paper was rough as a badger's behind! We look forward to staying at the Hotel Elan again soon
