The Staff at the Red Lion hotel is very courteous , professional , knowledgeable and helpful . I had a very comfortable , pleasant stay at this hotel .
I have nothing but positive things to stay , and would definitely stay at this hotel again .
The amenities can not be beat ... indoor pool , spa , state of the art Fitness equipment , which i toured but didn't get to use ( my own choice) . , but appreciate that it all as available and nice .
To top it all off, the hotel provides continental breakfast .

I was warry after reading some of the reveiws, but my boyfriend is stationed at Fort Lewis and the location was good and the price was right! When I got there I was relieved the lobby was nice and inviting and the man at the desk was friendly. When I got to my room it was clean and comfortable and not only were there plenty of towels in my room, but they were the big fluffy kind that you can wrap around yourself almost twice! The last day of my stay I had an issue, my boyfriend was supposed to pick me up at noon, when I had to check out, but he got stuck on post. The young woman at the front desk was so nice to me, they gave me the latest check out time they could, then they let me stay in the lobby where they have very comfortable couches and a plasma TV. While I sat in the lobby reading a book I was frequently checked on to make sure I was comforatable and that everything was ok. I intend to stay there everytime I visit Tacoma.

Maybe there is a shortage of towels in Tacoma. The pool towels were the size of dishrags, in the room only 1 big towel for 4 occupants. Desk help was good cop bad cop depending on when you called. Suite prices are way to high for the area!!!!

Son had to report to Ft Lewis so went up to say goodbye, took a last minute deal and chose this hotel. Staff was nice. Clean lobby. Some mold in bathroom. Feet got dirty from the carpet. Windows were really dirty. Indoor pool- didn't use. Located between major freeway - about 100 yards away on a curve, and a very busy street. It was so noisy, almost umbearable at times. But noticed that most hotels in Tacoma are that way unless you are downtown.
