The Room Smelled Like Feet

We were given a room in the *Inn at Holiday Isle*. It turns out Holiday Isle Beach Resort is a large complex with three different types of lodgings. Rooms in *Holiday Isle* are nice and newly remodeled, rooms in the *Inn at Holiday Isle* seemed mildewed and gross. (You can also rent cabins from El Capitan... I don't know about them). We were in room 273 at the *Inn* and it smelled like mildewed feet and had well worn furniture. Outrageous since we paid close to $* for one night there. The resort itself has a beach, two pools, and several bars. If you are looking for a college spring break experience, then this is the place for you. If you are a 30-something looking to relax a little, this is not the place for you. And remember - beware of the location of your room.
You get what you pay for...

The hotel was fine and was exactly as described, with the exception of the 'beach area' which was smaller than I anticipated. Front desk let me check in early. I was promptly given extra towels when I asked for them. The staff I encountered were friendly & helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfy. We used this as a base to explore the Keys. I would also recommend the Midway Cafe - a few miles south and Snorkeling @ Robbies Marina. The kids loved both pools. Overall we had a blast.

We stayed here during a wedding, and thank goodness we were hardly in the room. The place was gross. The floors were carpeted, but still sticky. I had to walk around the room in my shoes. The bathroom was tiny and gross. The entrance and hallways are filthy. I would never stay here again.
Do not recommend staying here at all

Rooms are not well maintained. Facilities are filthy. Service is horrible. There was a metal rod sticking out of the bed in which I tripped on front desk did not appear to care after being told. I would not recommend this hotel for those who have disabilities since there were no elevators. We had a package left for us by a friend the day prior to checking in and we got it a day after we checked in. The hotel staff is horrible.
