Great Stay minus one little security mishap

We traveled with our family, two adults and three children (ages 12, 10, and 2 months). The staff was wonderfully courteous and graciously found us a larger room which accommodated the hotel crib better. We had two double beds which were incredibly comfortable and a nice view of the fountain. The bathroom was very spacious, the shower had very nice water pressure. The cable channels were quite limited, which was disappointing to our children during our "down-time," but I guess that's not why we came to California! The outside pool was heated, so our Minnesota girls enjoyed some early Spring swimming well into the evening hours. We had a package deal that included free breakfasts for our entire family, which was an all you can eat buffet. The food was just fine and included all our favorites (waffles, eggs, kettle oatmeal, fresh fruit, and pineapple juice). We had a small security mishap on our first morning, as it seems housekeeping forgot to close our door after they cleaned, as it was propped open upon our return that afternoon. We're not sure how long it was kept open and the front desk staff was very apologetic, and nothing appeared stolen or tampered with. Needless to say, that did not happen again! The front desk staff was very alert and friendly - especially since they appeared to have quite long hours (early evening until mid-morning) on the job. They delivered extra towels very quickly to our room. They had a nicely stocked food pantry (including wine and beer) with the basics (laundry essentials included). We would definitely stay here again - a great place for families & children, as well as business travelers.

Comfortable, quiet, clean hotel. No disappointing surprises.

"Nice beds, bad bedmaking"

The mattresses were very comfortable but the sheets did not reach the end of the beds and we had to tuck in the sides again so the sheets and pad wouldn't be in lumps (they were any way because sheets didn't stay tucked in). Why don't many hotels use fitted sheets so the beds will be comfortable and you don't have to remake them when you pull out the top sheet to get in it. We stay in a lot of hotels and this is our complaint with beds.
