This Hotel is filled with history

We had a fabulous stay at the Nob Hill Hotel. The rooms were all furnished with antiques, and in addition had a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were kept very clean. Nob Hill is centrally located and you can walk everywhere in the city from the hotel (beware that the hills can be overwhelming if you are out of shape), but the rapid transit system is excellent and the bus drivers and conductors are very helpful). The continental breakfast that is served every morning gets your day started off right, and the evening wine tasting is a great way to relax from a day's activities. This hotel is only given three stars by most raters, but I suspect that it's because of the age of the building (it's not the Hilton, but we had a very comfortable stay). I would definately stay here again.

Great hotel at an amazing price!!! Would definitely stay again.

Got an amazing deal, with our package deal it came to an average of about $ a night!!! Hotel was great, it was very unique, tons of character - Victorian style. Each room was different. Rooms are small but we were barely in our room so it didn't matter anyway, it's San Fran get out of your room and see the city!!! We basically just slept in the room so don't sweat the room size. The bathroom was modern and appeared to be recently redone. Old school elevator was tight!!! (it's picture worthy) Free breakfast was suitable for our needs - load up on carbs - nothing fancy, basically some breads, bagels, oatmeal, etc. It got the job done. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is located central to a lot of different areas like the Wharf, which was walking distance, I think about 15 blocks. Very close to Chinatown. Plenty of local eateries close by. There is a lot to do in the vicinity. Only negative was the odd smell in the hotel/room - a little like your grandmother. But it's no big deal, we all love grandma. It just added to the ambiance so bask in it :-). And to be honest, you don't notice it after about 30 seconds of walking in. My girl and I would definitely stay here again!!! Highly recommended!

Old world San Francisco hotel. It was very comfortable and clean. The service and staff were great. The location to downtown shopping and China town is within walking distance. We hardly used the car. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the adjoining restaurant.

Quaint, comforable - would stay again. Wine reception was a bit odd but everything else was very nice. Amazing Bed!!!!! Bring extra shampoo and soap, they don't provide every day.

Built in 1906 and bursting with antique decor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Located near so many attractions that I can't name them all. Very clean even though it is an old building. Love the elevator and the stairway. I would definitely stay with them again.
