If you have stayed in a Sheraton or other five-star hotel recently, you will know most of the details of this property. The guest rooms are all air-conditioned. They have a refrigerator, alarm clock, radio, TV with cable channels, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and so on. In keeping with modern practice, a data port is provided, and families will appreciate the availability of a crib and a baby-sitting service. The bathrooms have all the usual facilities, including room to move.
Naturally, there is a 24-hour front desk and porter service. We found the concierge service to be excellent and in no way daunting. In fact, the personnel were exceptionally friendly and were happy to go to extra lengths to satisfy our needs – all without the need to tip. The hotel has a barber/beauty salon, business center, florist, heated pool, outdoor pool, laundry/valet service, and a car rental service. 24-hour room service is available.
The three dining venues at the Sheraton have a reputation for fresh produce presented with style. Partingtons Seafood and Grill is the top restaurant. It opens 6:30-11pm Tuesday – Saturday for fine dining. Our choice was the 24-hour SBF Brasserie. It operates as both an a-la-carte restaurant and buffet. Breakfast was excellent. We didn’t try the pub-style Somewhere Else bar and restaurant. But it features a casual atmosphere and great-looking pizzas. The Winery (lounge bar) serves snacks and drinks from 11:30am – 1am and has live entertainment some evenings.
