My Favorite Laguna Beach Hotel Is Now Even Better

Wow wow wow, I have stayed with at Laguna Riviera on and off for several years now. It can be difficult to get into because of the exceptional pricing for the incredible ocean front location. But I was fortunate enough to get a room this last weekend and was blown away when I walked into one of the newly remodeled rooms.
Everything was new from floor to ceiling the bathroom was gorgeous but not pretentious. I'd have to call the entire vibe Laguna Cool and Casual. Very hip but in a comfy casual old best friend way it is very relaxing and inviting. Precisely what a beach vacation is meant to be.
My last stay a couple years ago had me worried that my old favorite was getting a bit too worn, but no longer. The pool area is new, stunning and uses salt water instead of chlorine. The rooms are comfortable and the stonework in the bathrooms is a welcome change from the dated plastic inserts.
The staff is friendly as ever and no one cares if you wander around in your bathrobe as you collect the complementary breakfast in the morning and carry it back to the deck. Nothing like watching the crashing waves as one munches on danish and drinks fresh coffee.
The location is perfect. You can walk anywhere in town and your sitting on one of, if not the best beach in Laguna.
Needless to say I will return and recommend the Riviera to all my friends.

My overall opinion of this hotel is great. Location is excellent, very nice room, older tv and the remote did not work. I give it a yes and I will book again forsure.

We stayed here on our wedding night before leaving on our cruise. We took pictures out on the deck as the sunset. The continental breakfast was good. The views are super! We are already booked for our first anniversary!

The Riviera is pure classic Laguna Beach. Quaint, comfortable and a throw back to easier times. It has one of the best locations in Laguna and sits right on the beach. Its close to everything but far enough away that you are not in the middle of the cities activitiy. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a vintage beach cottage feel. The staff is relaxed, knowledgable, and fun. The prices are a barain for the location. Probably the best value in Laguna. When location & price are taken into consideration I should realy offer up 5 stars.
Classic Laguna Beach & on the ocean

The Riviera is an older property yet well maintained. It is right on the ocean and a real bargain when compared to the other expensive ocean front properties. My wife loved it for it's old school classic "Beachy Charm". It's not luxurious but it is comfortable and our room felt more like an apartment than a hotel box. We have already booked for 2007.
