NICE AND QUIET GETAWAY

This was a great place for my husband and I to stay. It's quiet and quaint. It has a pool for kids and gorgeous views throughout. If you don't have a car....Be sure to rent one b/c it's not walking distance to anything, however, worth the 'off the beaten path' place to stay. Would stay there again. Staff was fabulous and friendly.
Diappointed and Disallussional

Upon check-in we had to go to a shack that was office. No one available. Rang bell several times and a girl appeared with pajamas on and flip flops. Room was filthy, windows dirty and kitchen in terrible condition. Bathroom was sceaming to be torn down and replaced.
At night time there was no lighting in parking lot and we had to leave our car lights on to get to room...very unsafe. room light was out as well. we asked several times to have lights repaired but to no avail. Most of all there was construction being done throughout the complex and was not aqble to use the pool. Never was told when making reservations. Property itself in need of much work.......

Website and related pictures did this place way more justice than the real thing. When we first pulled into the lot, we were intrigued by this small, quaint place. Don't be fooled. My first indictation of trouble was that clerk (who may be the owner) charged more to my card than online travel website had confirmed. When questioned, she indicated that she would check it out and get back to me. She didn't, and I didn't see her for two days. When we checked out, the office was closed so it was never resolved.We stayed in "ringling" bungalow overlooking the lagoon. Appeared to be recently remodeled on a secondhand budget. Dryall over windows, exposed drywall in the shower, water sprayed out of wall at shower pipe until I tightened it, sink drain broken, drawers in kitchen out of square so wouldn't open fully, floors slanted(yes,slanted), windows in bathroom and bedroom disgustingly dirty, very loud a/c unit right outside the bedroom and misc. Others. To top it off, there was an envelope left on the main table from the house keeper thanking us for the tip we would be leaving. That is a bit offensive in and of itself, but considering that our room was not cleaned during our stay, it is unbelievable. Siesta key is much to nice a destination to waste here.
